Venus at Sunset

When I got to Mom’s last night I was watching the sunset closely. I brought my camera with me and was hoping that she had not started dinner. Photographing anything is a matter of timing, as most of us know. I knew my best shots were going to go fast. SO I had Mom and Max jump in the car and we made a quick drive our west of Mom’s.

We found a perfect spot with an open field, trees and a barn for background.

Here’s what we captured.

It was a beautiful sunset. I am always amazed by the beauty of the sky, every day. My brother said…oh you are going to take a picture of a planet that you have 50 other pictures of? And I said I sure am. And I am glad I took the time to stand out in the cold on the edge of a field and watch the sunset in a blaze of blue-golden orange. With Venus shining like a diamond. It was perfect! Oh and of course, our lovely Luna, getting more full by the day. A fun, adventurous and so worth it shoot!!!
