August 2014 Super Moon in Indiana

When I got home form Mom’s last night the moon was playing peek-a-boo in the clouds. I took a moment to capture some of the fun. As it seems to be the case this year, the fullest day of the moon will be behind cloud cover here in Indiana….Am tired of that.

These shots are only on day early and they are very cool. What do you think?

The last super moon (close) until next year in September. If you get a chance, get some moon rays and soak in the first of three harvest moon energy beams of the season.

It seems there was a friend in this shot...not sure if it is a star (it is not in any other shots....) or some type of craft (too far away to be in our atmosphere). That's why I love taking pictures of the sky, you never know what you will capture that you eye did not see.

The names for this moon include: Sturgeon Moon, Red Moon, Green Corn Moon and Grain Moon (Farmer’s Almanac).

Enjoy!!!
