A pictorial account of the drive to work today. My husband drove so I got to be the road warrior. Tweeted lots of pics to the news stations. Fun stuff for a scary drive. A couple for really bad spots where the car just started sliding sideways. Definitely dangerous.
People who make it to work in conditions like this should get hazard
Oaklandon road 6:30 am EST.
Carroll road going south toward Washington St. Eastside.
German Church & Washington St. 6:50 am.
Ramp from Washington St to 465. Eastside.
465 and Emerson ave. Southside. 7:05 am.K
Slick spot 465 just past 65 exit. Southside.
Sam Jones Expressway. at Highschool Rd. West side.
High school Rd. And Washington St. Westside. 7:35 am.
Lyndhurst & Washington St. almost to work.
8 am. made it to work. Washington & Holt Rd.
It took one and a half hours to make a 25 minute trip. We saw 4 salt/plow trucks. And lots of people going way too fast, following too close. And some going too slow, causing just add much issue.
And at 9 am, the Sun came out.
Perfect timing to make everyone complain. If it happened in the middle of the day, out would have been lots better. Oh and if it was warmer and the wind wasn’t blowing so much…and if it was 72 and sunny!
Be safe, everyone and enjoy the ride.
