Lunch at the Speedway

Some of the sights and sounds from my trip to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway today. I went over on my lunch hour.

I had a lapse of judgment when I listened to the security guard who told me to drive into the track. I ended up walking over two miles to get to the garages and back to my car.

I got lucky and a security guy gave me a ride back to my car for about the last half-mile, which saved me some time.

It was very fun as usual. My most fearless and bold thing I did was get Tony George to sign his autograph. He did not want to at first. That story can be found here.

I really love going to the track in May. There is something magical and steeped with a “never give up” attitude that I love to soak in as much of that as I can when I can. It only comes one a year. And the more years I live, the more important it is to make the most of the moments when they are here.

I hope you enjoy the shots. All were taken with my Droid RAZR. I am hoping my video will upload, so you can hear the cars. I will have to try and get it on here tomorrow.

A perfect day for the track today, except a little windy.
